Vilanculos is accessible by road or air.

For those who prefer to drive, directions will be provided. It is suggested that an overnight stay is booked at a recommended location, mid way through your travel. 

If you’re the type that does not enjoy long distance drives, flights can be booked on a daily basis from South Africa’s ORT International Airport to Vilanculos Airport.

The Vilanculos town can be found 5km inland from all the beach resorts and lodges – it is a vibrant commercial Beach villa offering a variety of basic supplies, fresh produce and vegetables at the local markets. Curios’ & arts are sold everywhere – from stunning island paintings to well crafted quality wooden statues. The locals are more than willing to ‘bargain’ with you.
